BURSON, CA – January 4, 2017 – Calaveras County now has a book publishing imprint dedicated to local history. The Society for the Preservation of West Calaveras History announced today the launch of its Calaveras History Publishing division. The SPWCH nonprofit California charitable trust was formed in 2006 and has since become the leading source for information on the western part of the county, boasting more than 5,300 items in its archive. Calaveras History Publishing, however, will encompass history anywhere in the county.
“Our goal is to create original, fascinating, and exceptionally researched and written publications that involve Calaveras County history,” said Sal Manna, founder and president of the SPWCH, who is also a nationally published author.
Details about the first product from Calaveras History Publishing will be announced in a few weeks. Manna added that there are two additional books already scheduled for publication in the 18 months to follow. All of the publications will be available for purchase locally, in bookstores, and online. #lovingcalaveras
