BURSON - November 10, 2013 - An historic West Calaveras artifact recently discovered in England has not only come home but has also helped the archives of the Society for the Preservation of West Calaveras History mark a milestone. The 1851 Webster's pocket dictionary inscribed by John Robinson in Campo Seco on August 28, 1855 was recently purchased from an antiques dealer in England and in returning to West Calaveras has pushed the group's collection past the 4,000 item mark. The SPWCH purchases items of local historic significance and also welcomes their donation.
